Kevin's Funeral Service was held in Calgary on March 24, 2005. The service was a full LODD ceremony with help from the
Calgary Fire Department and IAFF CFD local 255 assisting Yellowknife Fire Department and IAFF YKFD local 2890.
A special thank you to all those involved in the planning and to those who attended.

On March 28, 2005 a full LODD funeral service was held in Yellowknife for Cyril Fyffe.
On March 29, 2005 the City of Yellowknife held a memorial service put on by the IAFF. At this memorial the Olson's and Fyfe's received
the Medal of Honor presented by IAFF President Harold Schaitberger. YKFD Chief Mic Beauchamp presented both families
with the fallen firefighters duty helmets.
A Firefighters Prayer
When I am called to duty, God,
Wherever flames may rage,
Give
me the strength to save one life,
Whatever be its age.
Help me embrace a little child,
Before it is too late,
Or save an older person,
The horror of that fate.
Enable me to be alert,
To hear the weakest shout,
And
quickly and efficiently,
To put the fire out.
I want to fill my calling and
And give the best in me,
And
protect their property.
And if according to your will,
In service, I answer deaths' call,
Please bless -
with your protecting hand,
My Friends, my family - one and all.
